Irgendwann in den 70igern, fuhr André Jaeger mit einem damals schon alten Lieferwagen auf gut Glück in die Bretagne. Neben vielen Freunden fand er auch Meeresfrüchte in Hülle und Fülle. Zurückgekehrt realisierte er, dass er im Rausch des Meeres eine Tonne Fische eingekauft und mit nach Hause brachte. Er überlegte sich, was er damit tun sollte und richtete in seinem Restaurant Fischerzunft in Schaffhausen ein Fischfestival aus. Jeden Abend gab es ein Fischbuffet, das bis heute seinesgleichen sucht. Zusammen mit dem Küchenteam im Hotel Storchen richtet er im März 2017 das Fischbuffet wieder aus.
